A little break

I survived finals. We get two weeks off until next semester. The FINAL semester!!! wahoo!
I am filling my time off with work, cleaning, genealogy and whatever random crap I can find. It is soooo nice to not come home and spend hours every day doing homework and studying. So. Nice.
One semester left.
One.
Squee!
I needed this break though. You have no idea. It was getting to the point that I couldn't remember the last time I cooked a meal for my family. I missed them so much. I have a tornado in my home. I have laundry waiting for months. I have dust and cobwebs on my blinds and vaulted ceilings. Gross.
I am hoping for a home cleaning service for  a graduation present. Big wishes!
Any volunteers?

In the mean time, I will pick a room and clean it. Baby steps.
I will find a day sometime soon to make a scrapbook for my daughter. And her BABY!!! Yep. I'm going to be a gramma. Crazy. It's a girl and they are naming her Autumn Lou. The Lou is my mama's middle name. They are naming her after my mom. How bittersweet. She would have loved to meet her great grand baby. She cherished my daughters so much. I know she will be around after she is born. I just feel it.

Not much to share

I have a few seconds in between studying and cleaning and everything else going on.
Oh how I wish I had more time to devote to my blogs and reading yours. I so miss all of you!
All the inspiration and love around the blogiverse was so amazing. Truly missed.
Here is a small bit of my life recently

Nothing exciting.
I did have a birthday. Didn't really get to celebrate since I had clinicals overnight. It really throws a wrench on any weekend plans. Only four more to go I believe.. so that will be nice.
I so can't wait to be done with school. I can't wait to have a social life again. I can't wait to work again. I can't wait to immerse myself in my craft projects again. I can't wait to start writing for fun again. I can't wait to just be. Not have to worry about missing out on life anymore because I am constantly studying. Non stop. Eat, sometimes. Sleep, sometimes. Study, most of the time.
Oh the joys of nursing school.
Meh.
I'm over it.

Just a few updates from the year I've missed.. I had some little visitors our first big snow. Wish I could have seen them in real life though. I made sure to leave them a feeder full of seeds though.

We had a loss of a furbaby last year. Was the most devistating time of the year for sure.

I have a semester and a half left of nursing school. Life is busy. I am exhausted. I am struggling. I made a promise to myself to get back on track and will start with my blogs. Making time to post and keep myself honest. I have missed all my blogger friends. I hope you are still here and we can get connected again.

Super Busy

I've been up to a few things..

started clinicals Tuesday.

I have a job interview for the facility I "clinicked" at.. how do you say that?

D.A.R.E graduate

congrats to our little lady

she got to spend some time with some amazing police officers for the DARE program at school.

the kids learned about drugs and alcohol and bullying.. staying safe and being smart.. lots of other things.. they even had to write essays!

most of the sixth grade class graduated last night.. there were a couple that didn't for some reason or another.. none of my business lol

but my Lacey did!





I have NO idea why these are sideways or how to fix them.. any suggestions?

almost two weeks of CNA classes down.. cruising right along..
I'm going to take CPR classes in a week and a half, then I'm just about done.. then on to nursing school in May!
Still have a job.. amazingly enough.. we haven't received our 30 day notices yet.. good for the bank account.. I'm getting a little nervous about the school schedule and work, but it will all work out in the end, right?

Protection pouches

I made a couple protection pouches last night.
one for my sister and her family in Long Island NY.
luckily they are safe!
no power and flooding.. but they are safe!
love you sister!!

and one for me..

I put nine herbs inside. and a lucky stone.
I can't remember all the herbs.. marjoram, lavendar, sage, etc.. for protection and safety

said a prayer..
something like

you are 71 years old today.
you've been gone for a year and a half and I miss you every day. The pain gets easier to bear, but never really goes away. 
I still cry in the car, when a thought about you, a memory, or an image of you comes into my mind.
I still cry in random places, for no reason. yeah. it's not unusual.
the girls miss you so much.

I am so glad they got to spend what time they could with you guys.

I am running a half marathon Saturday .... in case you didn't hear :)

I am having anxiety about this. my first big run. 13.1 miles. eeeeek!
