Where do I start?

we've had so much going on. I need to keep my blogger friend's updated..

Lacey is off crutches and walking pretty well.
She has to go back every few months for xrays and then when she's 13ish for another surgery.
no sports or contact things for a while.. no biggie..

we got to have a few sleepovers with our great-niece! she is the cutest baby evah!!

that makes our dream of home ownership that much more real! We will have more money to pay off things and use for our purchase.. and not have to worry about losing it once we get it!

He is my best friend and I cherish him to no end!

a quickie

I know. I promised I'd be better about my blog..
but I have a good excuse.
Lacey.. the youngest kidlet.. had surgery last week.
 she had this thing where the growth plate in her femur is weak, so the top basically slipped off.
We've been taking her to physical therapy for her knee.. turns out, it was really this.

so..
surgery to put a screw in to hold it in place so it won't completely fall off was called for.

it was kinda expected, but we were rushed in the same day as her dr appt.. so a little freaky tension lasted for a few hours..some tears.. then worry.. then it was all over. (this is mommy, not child)
surgery was an hour and a half.
before.. all wrapped up in warm blankies

recovery was a couple hours.

after.. a little loopy.. ok alot loopy! she was sobbing when I got back to see her.. this lasted about half an hour.. then flipped the switch to hysterically laughing and giggling.. talk about stressful for mommy!

she was then sent home.

she can't put any weight on her leg for four weeks, at least until we go back to see the dr.

so for now she's on crutches.

what a looong week it was!

she's doing so well.. she can get around very well and goes back to school next week!

so hopefully life can get back to somewhat normal.

 This is my mom and dad's lil tree. all decorated.  It was their last tree together. They didn't want a big one. so they got this one and put it on the coffee table.

thanksgiving is over. which was hard not having my mom or dad around.
black friday is over! it was a blast! we got half our shopping done.. and breakfast!

now. just learning about yule and things.. keep me busy!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my dad's birthday. He would be 70 years old today. He almost made it..
I miss him so much. My kids miss him. The hubs misses him.
ugh..
I'm an emotional wreck today.
I will bake a batch of cupcakes in his honor tonight.
Maybe do a few scrapbook pages for him.
I hope he is having a great time wherever he is now.
