Contemplating

So.. I've been struggling with my book. My disorganized mind is having a hard time grasping plot outlining, dialogue, and well..everything.
I started with this amazing idea. I wrote 30 pages. I bombed. Nothing to say. Nothing to share.
I am stuck.
I am thinking of breaking it into several shorter stories. Thinking of that makes my head hurt. Now I have to find places to stop. I have to outline each story. More work.
Why is this so hard?
I lost my ideas. I lost my fantastical project. It's all gone.
Will it come back?
Maybe.
Maybe not.
I have no idea.
I will just keep going.
Maybe write the whole thing. Finish it. Then go back and assess the damage.
What do you think?

Few options remain for Byron. A talented but stubborn young man with a troubled past and rebellious attitude, his cockpit skills are his only hope. Slated to train as a Cosbolt fighter pilot, Byron is determined to prove his worth and begin a new life as he sets off for the moon base of Guaard.

Much to Byron’s chagrin the toughest instructor in the fleet takes notice of the young pilot. Haunted by a past tragedy, Bassa eventually sees through Byron's tough exterior and insolence. When a secret talent is revealed during training, Bassa feels compelled to help Byron achieve his full potential.

As war brews on the edge of space, time is running short. Byron requires a navigator of exceptional quality to survive, and Bassa must make a decision that could well decide the fate of both men. Will their skills be enough as they embark on a mission that may stretch their abilities to the limit?

Monday Monday

Well.. I wasn't completely devistated when I stepped on the scale. Only up one pound from what I've lost. Not too bad considering. But I am starting over today. Drinking my water and making sure I take all my meds and vitamins. That is going to be the hard part. I am low on vitamin d and iron among other things, so had to add more of those in to the multitudes I already need to take. *Notice I said need to take?*
That will be my goal this week, track my vitamins and meds and make sure I take them all!

I forgot to show my latest addition to my body art :)
they aren't the greatest pics, but you can see how pretty she is :)

Sunday stuff

I haven't been around for a few days.
We took a mini vaca to visit mom's resting place, which is still there, yay!
Took her favorite yellow roses for her birthday.

then we spent the next two days gambling, drinking and having a great time. We all came home broke, but it was worth it!
I know I've blown my diet. that's a fact. I drank waay more than I should have. I ate crap. I didnt exercise for at least five days. I'm going to cry tomorrow when I step on the scale. I know it.
I am still feeling the extra pain of my neck. I went back to the Rheumatologist and he said nothing can help really. He did give me a prescrip for a traction device I can hook up at home. Basically hang myself. Idk I'll see what it is when I go get it. He said that will help take some of the pressure off my neck and help with pain some. It just sucks knowing that it is going to get worse and nothing I can do about it. He did say surgery again. But told me wait as long as I possibly can, because it may not be the best option. *sigh*
But.. I will just start over tomorrow. From the begining. I will "pretend" like it's day one of my diet. Which, it practically is. I can ignore the ten pounds I lost, and just go from where I am now. I am not expecting great news. And I'm ok with that. I'm not perfect.
I've gotten a few more lines done in my wip. I was planning on doing so much this week and weekend. I needed to get a few more chapters done, but didn't. I needed to sand and stain our coffee table, but didn't. I needed to keep losing weight, but sure I didn't.
Cross off this week for the losers! lol
Oh well..Maybe I'll start now by running to the gym. I can't decide if the pain is worth it.
Have a great day!

A few updates

I have been a bit busy and neglected my blogger friends, I do apologize..

It was a busy day.
Hubster n I took the kidlets and friends to see The Sorcerer's Apprentice and I loved it! I love Nic Cage..He is sexy, in a weird kinda way to me..
The hair was good on him..
I loved the Merlinian aspect of it! The magic was fun.. High heeled boots *funny, even to my kids* Walking and cleaning brooms and mops..good :) Riding a big metal bird would be awesome!
The reference to Fantasia was silly but still a good movie. I can't wait to try my hand at raising the dead or maybe..just controlling some electricity!

Then we had another fire at our complex.. this one wasn't a townhome..but it was the field next to us. Too close, a driveway from our complex..It burned about an acre and was very hot very fast. Turns out my kids were there. (leave it to them).. but it wasn't them that lit the match..but a friend. I don't know what will happen, but my rockstar teenager is pretty upset. She didn't want to tell on her friend and she didn't want to get in trouble. She had the feeling that being the oldest, she was responsible.

turns out the investigators and firemen (nothing like seeing hot firemen to raise the temps a lil) anyway..they were very understanding and very nice to the kids. They knew how to handle them and not one felt attacked or blamed. They actually thanked them for calling adults and then them. That makes a mom feel better.
I don't know what will happen, but I am glad my kids didn't do it. I am just glad no one got hurt. It could have been worse.

fitness updates...
I am still struggling along with losing weight. I held pretty much steady for the week. I have been going to the gym and walking, ellipticaling (made up my own word woot!) taking classes..and leave it to me to hurt myself on the treamill. For some odd reason.. I was feeling good enough to raise the incline and my speed..(I'm sure the pain pills helped) so..later Friday night I hurt like hell. My neck has issues. I have a pinched nerve again I think. I can barely move my head and the pain when I even breathe...(&*&^*&^^)
But silly me..thinking if I go try again I can feel better.
WRONG!
I hurt again today. Luckily I go back to my rhuemy tomorrow and can see what the deal is. I know he is going to say there is nothing he can do but give me meds. And odly I'm ok with that. Whatever gets me through the day.

Good Stuff On Wednesday

TOP 10 REASONS WHY WITCHES DON'T WORSHIP THE DEVIL...

#10. Scorch marks on the furniture whenever Satan manifests.

#9. Not even Lysol can mask the smell of brimstone.

#8. It's hard to keep the flaming goat skulls lit when Satan isn't around.

#7. It's getting hard to find any blond virgins.

#6. Repeated stooping motion from administering the 'kiss of shame' is hard on the older coven members.

#5. Cat keeps playing with Satan's tail, which really annoys him.

#4. Demons smell worse than the brimstone.

#3. Blood from sacrifices is hard to get out of the carpet.

#2. The wailing of the dammed souls in hell keeps the neighbors awake at night.

AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON WHY WITCHES DO NOT WORSHIP SATAN IS...

(DRUM ROLL PLEASE..)

#1. We cannot worship something that doesn't exist.

Week two is over

I finished my second week of South Beach diet. I have lost a total of 10 pounds. woot!
I have cheated a couple times, a few fries and a piece of birthday cake, but I am still doing pretty good.
I think I will stick with phase one for another week, just to see if it helps. It doesn't seem to be too hard to stick to, so I'm going for it!

Let's see how week three can go..I can feel the skinny chick inside fighting to come out.. Love it!

Blog hop

John over at dreaming in books is having a blog hop today. The subject is:
Tell us about some of your favorite authors and why they are your favorites!

My fav's..(where I use a ton of exclamation marks)

Kelley Armstrong..her take on the supernatural world is amazing! There is everything from demons, demidemons, necromancers and yes even ghosts! I love her series so far, have read three of them and can't wait to get the rest! The women of the Underworld kick ass!

Diana Gabaldon.. Sexy highlanders in Kilts..need I say more? Her writing is addicting. Her stories are romantic and believable. I read her Outlander series years ago and still remember it. That is how much I loved it..For me to remember something that long, well, it's a miracle!

Nora Roberts... Another paranormal series that is truly amazing! Goddesses, sorcerers, vampires...more of my favorite things..Nora is gifted with words..

I have many more, but just can't put them all here

So...now let's keep hopping..

Random stuff

I just have some random things to share today..
I went to my first Zumba class last night..I have to say, it is the funnest workout I've ever done.. seriously. I loved the dancing part and the whole shakin your ass part. Absolutely fun! I recommend it to everyone!
I am definately feeling it everywhere today though. I mean everywhere!

I am wearing a pair of pants, that I haven't been able to comfortably squeeze into for a month or so.. And I can breathe when I sit down!! I even have wiggle room.. How exciting is that!!!  So even though the scale isn't falling fast, My clothes are clapping! (so is my belly, and my guts that were always squished when wearing these pants)

Just a cute lil thing I saw and wanted to share.

Also...
Meet Raven.. she is the newest member of the family..

On the writing stuff.. I am still going. I have hours and hours of new research and working on a great part of the story.. The part where the good guys prepare to meet the bad guy! Ok, cliche..but still.. :) I am determined to be done with the first draft by the end of July..

Life is good!

Losing weight update

Today is the one week mark for my South Beach Diet. I am happy with the loss but not as happy as I want to be. In one week, the first week, I've lost a total of 6 pounds.
I know that is good but I was hoping for more.
I noticed I haven't been getting all my water in, just alot of diet pepsi, so this weeks plan:
Drink my water!! All of it!!
We'll see if that helps this week.

I am doing great so far sticking to the plan, we went to see Eclipse on Saturday and I didn't even have any popcorn! That was soooo hard, but I felt so proud of myself that I stood my ground against the evil stuff.

Off to fill up my water bottle and plan this weeks journey.
Anyone can email me or comment and we can have fun losing together!

Have a great day!

Fit Friday

It's time for Fit Friday!!!

So I have been on the South Beach diet since Tuesday and so far it has been pretty easy. The first week of any diet is good for me, it's what happens after that "honeymoon" week is what kills me.
This time, I am determined to stick with it. I have seen such great results so far (I am down two more pounds today) that I am motivated!

I went to a Body tone class at the rec center last night. It was easy enough I wasn't overwhelmed, and hard enough I knew I was getting a good workout. I hope to keep going, and add a Zumba class. One of the other first-timers I talked to said it is a blast.

I have been getting a lot of great information from http://kalynskitchen.blogspot.com/ she has tons of recipes and great stuff.. Go check her out! I am a fan for sure :)

Anyone else having luck with dieting this week? Let me know.. we can all lose together!!

On a side note, I finished BuNoWriMo for June with 17,147 words. Not the 50,000 I wanted, but life happens. I am happy with what I have, done lots of research and now can move forward to hopefully have a first draft done by the end of July. *excited giggles*

Happy Friday!
