K...so while I'm a fan of nekeyness...not so much on 80 year ol' ladies.
Me n my little fireball of a child went to check out rehab places for my dad..for when he gets better enough to go to one..
We're walking through and this little lady comes up behind us and starts rambling about how he isn't watching her or some nonsense..of course, me being the lover of lil old people, start wondering what she's wanting..and she starts to lift up her shirt..only belly wrinkles got exposed, thank goodness, cuz sorry..but old saggy bewbs aren't my cup of tea at the moment. Although, it would have been fun to see the future, but that's another post. :)
Thankfully, she is an alzheimers patient, and the only one left in the place, I was told. They are focusing on orthopedic rehab now so she'll be gone soon. Poor thing..she was adorable. Entertaining to say the least.
Dad is almost back. He doesn't remember the last few days. That is a good thing I think. Im thinking the communial showers, floating around the room, and whatever he was picking up and throwing, might not be as fun now.
So..on we go..still..again..
I'll post some pics of my lil garden in the windowsill soon. They are coming along nicely. I just need to keep them alive until it's warm outside. I'm kind of nervous about that one.
I have had a hard time lately getting my words out, in my writing. I suppose that is stress and such. Hopefully I can get myself back on track. I have to read what I've written and try not to cry. yep. It's that bad. I think I've rambled for a few pages and need to focus on what I was doing. Yay for editing.
Have a great day!

A little sigh of relief..
We finally got a nurse (Ann, whom I adore) to sit down with us and explain things and what's happening with my dadio.. She said she had just talked to the dr and he did a ct scan and everything is fine. His kidneys aren't fully functioning and his CO2 levels are still high..so that could be the contributing factor to why he is being poisoned and they won't let him go to work. He has pnemonia and his Guillan-Barre could also be flaring up causing the commercial on the wall to bother him. So.. His noggin is fine and nothing permanent..it just has to flush its way out. In the mean time..His garage (which btw he doesn't have) is perfectly cleaned out and his truck (which he no longer drives) is backed into just the perfect spot. The hospital won't kick him out just yet and that makes him happy. As long as he is getting some attention, he won't mess with the buttons too much.
Now I get to fight with workers comp because he didn't walk into work with a broken hip..so no way could it have been pre-existing. *smile*
But that's one worry down..five gazillion to go :)
I also want to thank my big sister and my hubster for intercepting the beast for me..I don't think I could handle that one right now. Love you guys!

Gah I'm kinda tired n stuff
So dad fell a couple days ago at work and broke his lil hip. He isn't particularly healthy to begin with so the surgery was a high risk..but he pulled out great. Now he's having issues with his breathing and not feeling so good. But he's a stubborn ol fart so he'll be good as before in no time...maybe..
He hates the p.t. girl, she makes him walk.. He wanted to get out of bed n walk to the bathroom, but he has a (c) so he won't have to..so He might have been confused prolly..
*sigh*
Now I want to share a couple pics of some really big snow flakes that were fallin in my lil area of the world, I got a pic or two after the dentist this morning.

I also set up a profile for myself on elance.com to hopefully get a writing gig. I have no experience whatsoever, but a girl can dream *smiles* and if I can get a few extra bucks out of it..even better!

K that sounds about right..
Living with what I suppose I have..although the Dr's don't really have answers or magic wands as one said...I guess it's to be expected that I am tired, fatigued, exhausted and sometimes whiny.. I am entitled sometimes, right?
Here's a brief definition of ONE of the things I have been dx'd with..
Ankylosing spondylitis is a form of chronic inflammation of the spine and the sacroiliac joints.
Chronic inflammation in these areas causes pain and stiffness in and around the spine. Ankylosing spondylitis is also a systemic disease, meaning it can affect other tissues throughout the body. Accordingly, it can cause inflammation in or injury to other joints away from the spine, as well as to other organs, such as the eyes, heart, lungs, and kidneys. Ankylosing spondylitis is considered one of the many rheumatic diseases because it can cause symptoms involving muscles and joints. Each individual tends to have their own unique pattern of presentation and activity of the illness.
Dr. examination can demonstrate signs of inflammation and decreased range of motion of joints. This can be particularly apparent in the spine. Flexibility of the low back and/or neck can be decreased. There may be tenderness of the sacroiliac joints of the upper buttocks. The expansion of the chest with full breathing can be limited because of rigidity of the chest wall. Severely affected people can have a stooped posture. Further clues to the diagnosis are suggested by X-ray abnormalities of the spine and the presence of the blood test genetic marker, the HLA-B27 gene.
Fatigue is a common symptom associated with active inflammation. The treatment of ankylosing spondylitis involves the use of medications to reduce inflammation and/or suppress immunity to stop progression of the disease, physical therapy, and exercise. Medications decrease inflammation in the spine and other joints and organs. Physical therapy and exercise help improve posture, spine mobility, and lung capacity.
K so that wasn't so brief, but I did cut out a few pages of info lol..
So..what all this means, is that I like to inform my friends and family, that when I say I am tired, I really am exhausted to the point of pain. It is hard to explain how I feel, it is easy for others to see me as "normal" since, on the outside I am.
Yup..Im a whiner today..maybe it's cuz I'm tired...lol..
I have noticed, after dragging myself and my gym buddy to the gym after lunch, I do feel somewhat better. I feel looser, and less stiff.. So I am wondering if I should try a morning workout also. Maybe some yoga..but that would mean waking up even earlier! *sigh*
The teenager is being a teenager..constantly fighting with little sister, texting and calling friends alllll day..I don't remember being like that when I was that age.. nope..I was an angel! *giggles*
The youngest is on a slightly higher dose of her meds..she is coping well. She has been much better, and even got the chance to play with friends one day after school. I think that was so good for her. She needs to get out of the house more, but it is so hard not knowing when the next blowup will happen and hoping her friends or even their parents aren't in the line of fire. She is such a good kid, and has such a big heart, it is scary to think there is such a volcano underneath it!
We're getting by as best we can..And that's all a mom can hope for, right?

Today's plans
I haven't been able to go to the gym lately..haven't been feeling too well..probably not a good idea to workout while feeling icky, so I'm skipping it for a couple days and just trying to eat well.
So for today I have
A Grapefruit-2 points
Low fat wheat thins-3 points
healthy choice lunch pasta thingy- 5 points
small orange-1 point
dinner- probably chicken
I haven't been doing much..I need to get started making some cards. I got a couple punches in the mail so I am going to use them asap!! I can't wait, I got a stars and moon border punch and one with scallops and dots from martha stewart I think. I need to get some pencils or something to color in stamps.. Im not sure what the other ladies use, that do that sort of thing..any ideas?

Random acts of kindness month!
Weekend goodies
So..after reading all the blogs lately with treasures being found..I decided to go thrift store shopping..oh I found some treasures of my own, woohoo! I got a really cool picture frame that I forgot to take a pic of..but it looks like a window, with two little "doors" that open up to reveal the picture inside..I am going to repaint it and decorate it a bit to see if it will sell on etsy or somewhere..it is adorable. I really have no idea what to look for when vintage trolling, but maybe I'll get "the eye" soon enough.. idk
Well here's what I found so far for my personal "witchy" collection :)
This little broom (about two feet long) was brand new, tag still on..made in Haiti. It has an actual branch for a handle. I may put a pretty ribbon on it and hang it in my personal area.. In Wicca..it is referred to as Besom. Used to purify, cleanse, and protect against evil. I was so happy to find this little thing, I smiled inside for hours.
I found (well hubster found) a great energy drink..packed with vitamins and such..it is sugar free, only 20 calories for the whole can, lemonade flavor and 0 points! It is an AMP lemonade.. yummy too! It may be my new addiction..
Me and hubby went to Wendover Saturday for some gambling and relaxation..It was a blast.. we won a couple hundred bucks, not too bad.. the power went out for a minute at the casino, I have never seen that happen, it was pretty amazing how everyone behaved.. it was a great time!
Not sure what else to share today..
My plan for the day..
two mini bagels with whipped cream cheese- 4 points
nutrigrain bar-2 points
Lunch..not sure prolly salad :)
working out in the gym again..woohoo!!
Haven't weighed in yet..not sure if I dare..
K off to work..
have a great day!
