A little sigh of relief..

We finally got a nurse (Ann, whom I adore) to sit down with us and explain things and what's happening with my dadio.. She said she had just talked to the dr and he did a ct scan and everything is fine. His kidneys aren't fully functioning and his CO2 levels are still high..so that could be the contributing factor to why he is being poisoned and they won't let him go to work. He has pnemonia and his Guillan-Barre could also be flaring up causing the commercial on the wall to bother him. So.. His noggin is fine and nothing permanent..it just has to flush its way out. In the mean time..His garage (which btw he doesn't have) is perfectly cleaned out and his truck (which he no longer drives) is backed into just the perfect spot. The hospital won't kick him out just yet and that makes him happy. As long as he is getting some attention, he won't mess with the buttons too much.
Now I get to fight with workers comp because he didn't walk into work with a broken hip..so no way could it have been pre-existing. *smile*
But that's one worry down..five gazillion to go :)
I also want to thank my big sister and my hubster for intercepting the beast for me..I don't think I could handle that one right now. Love you guys!

Nice to at least know what's going on! I wish him as speedy a recovery as possible, and hope you have enough other support people that this doesn't all fall on you. A sick parent can be such strain in a family, especially if there is latent disfunctionality (says a person with experience). And good luck with the blasted workman's comp... (I hate insurance, I really do--have to fight them every step--makes you wonder what the people with no ferocious family members do)

Thanks to you all! I do appreciate the thoughts and well wishes. It is rather hard to function when you're stretched to the limits but It's what I do :)
