I am jut disappointed to realize that I have something that will not go away. It may get worse, but not go away. It's discouraging. But I won't give up. Maybe I can get massages once in a while..
I happened upon this giveaway, and had to enter. I love vintage items. Maybe it's because my mom had a ton of these things and didn't do anything with them. I wish I would have kept more of her things. There just wasn't time to go through it all. I cherish what I do have though. Anyways...sorry..got side tracked... Keep your head up, baby sis. We are going to love you and get you thru this. I know how you feel, it took me a while to accept that i have a debilitating and possibly disfiguring illness. But I did, and I have learned this...it is all in the attitude. I CHOOSE not to let lupus or RA interfere with what I want to do.
Of course I know I have limitations that other people don't, but I just modify and move on. It is much more fun that looking for that magical thing that will "fix" me.
I didn't realize you had pain issues. In my day job I manage the research for an Anesthesiologist and people living with pain is our primary focus. I am not an MD, and don't know much of the medical or technical side of things, but I've heard some powerful stories about the impact pain can have on a person's life. I wish you the best in finding a realistic way to manage it. I'm glad things like pink workout facilities cheer you.
I can recommend someone who MIGHT have some ideas: in my sidebar is a blog called 'Tartitude' and Jan (aka: Hope) is a former physician come romance writer, but did a ton of research on HOPE--she has a series on her blog, and one of the applications is chronic pain. It is worth seeing if she has any reading, meditation, or suggestions to feel more hopeful, which in the long run, improves your prognosis.
(I just noticed you and I also have about the same amount of weight left to lose. Keep it up!)
You do amazing things will all you deal with:) You always inspire me to go to the gym...even IF I don't want to go:)
